I like it when previous somewhat unrelated combined knowledge allows me to fix something I've never done before. Especially when it relates to something technical, like linux. Even if I can't typo the spelling for the grammar. hehe

working 5pm to 5am doesn't seem to leave me time during the day to do what I'd like to do, such as turning that above ground pool into a food and zen garden and doing other household and yard like things. when I get home from work I'm still wired till 7am or so and then don't wake up till 3 or 4 and spend that time with my kids usually. It'll be nice when they get a bit older and can participate also. The boy has just recently started army crawling, and the girl is still all out wild into everything at two years old. I suppose I must just lay down when I get home and force myself awake earlier in the day.

windows, microsoft, 7, linux, price
yah, I'll be switching to all linux soon,
http:/
I suppose I can understand the pricing here. But, My wallet can't. Once the RC of Windows 7 expires I'll be switching back to linux. heh. I would do a dual boot so I can still play my microsoft based games, but, I can't stand dual boot. When I sit down, I want my machine at the ready, I don't like to wait for things to shutdown, and then boot up, just so I can play a game, or whatever, I keep so much stuff open on my desktops as it is that it literally takes 5 minutes or more to shut down and sometimes twice as long as that to get everything open again that I use on a daily basis. Pain.
Game Developers, Heed this call, Developer more for linux based!! Please! I'll be way more likely to buy (more) games if they ran on linux. Not to mention that you would then very likely be able to gain more profit from catering to more people!

This seems like a horrible failure on many levels and a complete lack of insight on the part of the manufacturers of the laptops and on the part of the company that makes this laptop theft security software.

H1N1 Pandemic: Pentagon Planning Deployment of Troops in Support of Nationwide Vaccination
From the page "It is worth noting that this involvement of the military is not being decided by the President, but by the Secretary of Defense, which suggests that the Pentagon is, in a key issue of of national interest, overriding the President and Commander in Chief. The US Congress has not been consulted on this issue. "
"The potential number of fatalities in the United States in a modern pandemic influenza could reach nearly two million, according to Felderman."
I think we could be over rating this, but never wrong to be prepared right? What do you think?

From the page,
"The fluctuations that move through the network are incredibly slow, he says, with one cycle every 15 to 20 seconds. Most conscious thought happens in split seconds, so it is more likely that the plodding pulses are for “subconscious synapse maintenance,” he says......not only is the default network involved in mind-wandering, it also distracts executive areas of the brain, so that people aren’t even aware that their minds have wandered off task.... Researchers are also studying how defects in the coordination between different parts of the default network may contribute to psychiatric disorders."
